But sometimes, the ways we try to help: offering reassurance, avoiding triggers, doing things for our child can inadvertantly keep anxiety and body-focused fears in place, sometimes even cause them to escalate.

Once you see the patterns, you can begin to make changes that will support them.

A quick word about who we are:

We're Adam and Jennie, son and mother. We know from personal experience how anxiety can lead to appearance anxiety and then escalate into Body Dysmorphic Disorder.

After Adam's long recovery journey and training to become a counsellor and psychotherapist, we decided we wanted to do more to help other families who are going through the same challenges we faced.

We approach understanding BDD and its treatment with the care we wish we'd found, we aim to be warm, relational and compassionate towards other people and their families.

We are a small team of five people, all of whom know perspnally of the challneges and impact of BDD.

Can I get support if I need help?

Of course! Our support team is here to help with any questions or technical issues. You can reach us through email, live chat, or check out our selection of video tutorials for guidance. We aim to get back to you within 24 working hours and try to help on a one by one basis.
